Update. April 21, 2006

Filed under: Uncategorized — Annette @ 1:47 am

Here are the official updates on Brian’s condition.  Basically, the Solomons went to a park after church last Sabbath, and Brian fell onto a board with a wood screw.  The screw chipped his skull and entered his brain.  They took him to the hospital where he underwent brain surgery to remove the screw and deal with a blood clot.  He was in ICU for a few days, but has since returned home.  Ask me for the address if you’d like to send a card.

Brian’s father, Mr. Larry Solomon serves Tulsa & OKC, OK, Fayetteville, AR, Joplin, & Springfield, MO. Brian’s accident happened last Sabbath after church, where the Solomons were in Tulsa for afternoon services.

Good news: Brian was moved out of intensive care and into a regular room the afternoon of April 17, 2006.

He is expected to make a total recovery.

The following encouraging update just received, 4/20/06:

Mr. Larry Solomon gave the morning service on the Last Day of Unleavened Bread in Joplin, before traveling to Tulsa to bring his wife & Brian home. A Nurse will come to the home twice daily for the next two weeks, to administer IV anitibiotics. Word we have received is that Brian is up, and playing!

Thank you, brethren, for your fervent prayers!

Please DO continue those prayers for Brian, as he is a prime cantidate for severe infection and meningitis.

I don’t think the screw actually entered his brain, thankfully. But there was a blood clot on the brain & they did have to do emergency brain surgery.

    Fantastic news!

Great. Now I have to retract my previous statement. Apparently, I’m WAYYYYYYY at the end of the “in the know” list. The screw DID go into some brain tissue. Sorry.
