The typical U.S. household spends 13% of their income on owning and operating a vehicle.  Ouch.

    Makes me wonder what I’m spending now that my car is paid for and I ride the bus to work.

    Now how much of a person’s life is spent traveling by car or by foot. My work commute is two hours daily even though it only takes about 15 to 20 minutes to traverse that distance.

    My work commute is 20 minutes of walking. 🙂
