My parents are American, so temperatures in the summer were always related in Fahrenheit.  Summer temperatures don’t make sense to me in Celsius.

In the winter, though, when you’re listening to Canadian weather every day, you hear the temperature reported in Celsius.  So in the winter I only understand temperatures in Celsius, not Fahrenheit.  I just had to switch the temperature units on my iGoogle weather gadget because -5F doesn’t mean anything to me.  -20C?  Oh.  That’s cold.

Use Kelvin. 0 Celsius is ~273 Kevlin.

I’m familiar with Kelvin, but Kevlin, not so much.

It’s his little brother, and he actually originated the system. Kelvin just put him in a headlock until he said “uncle,” then stole the idea.

Doesn’t it get down to -40 Celsius in CanuckLand every so often? Well, when it does, let there be tidings of great joy — that’s the same as -40 Fahrenheit! 😀
