Books just purchased (with our Barnes & Noble gift card from Ostroms & Co., thanks!), and very excited about:
Food Not Lawns: How to Turn Your Yard into a Garden And Your Neighborhood into a Community
Vegetarian Sandwiches: Fresh Fillings for Slices, Pockets, Wraps, and Rolls

Actually, Rachel and I were thinking about buying a cow for our lawn. Something like 40 gallons of milk A DAY and free lawn service. Of course, I’d probably have to tie a trash bag to its butt, but whatever. 🙂
And keep it pregnant or lactating all year, but that’s another issue. 🙂
Veggie Sandwiches?! That’s so not Dagwood. Actually, that’d be instructive for putting more salad in my sandwiches. On the rare occasion I have a gluttonous Fuddruckers hamburger, I joke that the toppings that fell off was my side salad.
How about goats for lawn care? Both Google and Yahoo do that.
Cool! I hadn’t heard about that.
I didn’t say it was perfect… 🙂
